In January 2009, Bones launched DVD field archives of the anime. In March 2006, a DVD featuring these OVAs was released in Japan with the identification of Fullmetal Alchemist: Premium Collection. Funimation acquired and dubbed the premium collection during the end of 2008 for its English launch. On March 20, 2009, it was introduced that the English title of the sequence was Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and that it would receive its English language premiere on Animax Asia, with Japanese audio and English subtitles, on April 10, 2009, at 8:30 p.m, 5 days after its Japanese premiere. On April 3, 2009, Funimation introduced it would stream English subtitled episodes for four days when they air in Japan. The sequence premiered on April 5, 2009, on MBS-TBS’s Sunday 5:00 pm JST anime time block, replacing Cellular Swimsuit Gundam 00, and voice actors Romi Park and ride kugimiya reprised their roles as principal characters Edward and Alphonse Elric, respectively.
Beginning February 13, 2010, the English dub of the collection premiered on Adult Swim. In September 2009, Funimation announced the solid for an English dub of the sequence. A sequence of six Fullmetal Alchemist Japanese gentle novels, written by Makoto Inoue, has been published by Square Enix. The primary novel, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Land of Sand, was lively because the episodes eleven and twelve of the anime sequence. 1: The Land of Sand 砂礫の大地 Sareki no Daichi? was launched earlier than the anime and told a story much like the first novel.
